We are nearing Christmas and the Collective I'm part of has popped up in the Burgh Hall shop in Dunoon. It's a welcoming space with ever changing exhibitions and workshops, which makes it a wonderful base for our collective artists. This year we have jewellery, mirrors, wood turning, paintings, prints, illustration, needlecrafts, pottery, cards and toys - all made by folks in Cowal. I have only a few pieces in this year as I've been working on Christmas commissions. I am almost at the point of purchasing a press and need to get on with some new work for the New Year. Come on in to the shop and support your local artists.
fter failing in my resolution to print every day and keep the website up to date I am feeling very guilty. This week will see me getting back to printing and trying out some new things, such as large text and still life. Once the weather is warmer I can get back to getting out to walk, sketch and photograph
I'm sure as I go on the list will lengthen, and why just make resolutions at New Year. Creativity is about evolving and changing. Right I'm off to ink up.
This print will include a map, dogs, Ashton Lane in Glasgow and a tulip, to name but a few of the images in this creation. Once the proof is printed it will be tweaked to perfection.
